Sapta Shakti Sangam 2026 organised at Bal Vidya Mandir, Kakching

An awareness programme aimed at the empowerment of women in society was organised today at Bal Vidya Mandir, Kakching, under the aegis of Vidya Bharti Shiksha Vikas Samiti Manipur, as part of the Sapta Shakti Sangam 2026 initiative.
The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the photograph of Bharat Mata. Addressing the gathering, E. Priyobati, Co-Convenor of the Sapta Shakti Sangam State Committee Manipur, stated that the initiative was undertaken with the objective of strengthening women’s empowerment across the nation. She observed that women play a vital role in safeguarding the culture and tradition of different states of India, which formed the central theme of the programme. She further stated that women should recognise and cultivate the seven innate qualities they possess and contribute towards guiding society along the right path of development.
Speaking as the chief guest, L. Rasheshwari, Convenor of the Sapta Shakti Sangam State Committee, stated that women have a major role in shaping and advancing society in a constructive direction. She also remarked that women should raise more children to strengthen and protect Manipur and secure the future of the coming generations. She added that by raising more children and ensuring they are well educated, society can work towards building a prosperous Manipur.
The programme was attended by T. Sumita, Co-Convenor of the Sapta Shakti Sangam State Committee Manipur, Kiran Kumari, Principal of Bal Vidya Mandir, Kakching, and several women participants. During the event, mothers who had given birth to four or more children were felicitated with gifts in recognition of their role.
