Where is the Shelter Home? Where has the sanctioned amount gone?

One peculiarity between the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the center and the N. Biren Singh led government in the state of Manipur is that – both have taken up all possible measures to fight the menace of corruption. The only difference is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government let no stone unturned in punishing those corrupt officials, when the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh seems to have tied his hand in taking up action against corrupt officials for reason best known to him.
On December 20, 2017, the then Chairperson of the Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board , Mr. Preshyojit Sharma had issued an order for sanctioning of Rs.2,04,01,895/- ( Two crore four lakhs, one thousand , eight hundred and ninety-five) for the construction of one Shelter Home for Building and other Construction Workers.
The Chairperson, Preshyojit Sharma happened to be brother-in-law of the Labour Minister who is also holding the portfolio of Education Manipur, Th. Radheshyam. He was appointed as chairperson of Manipur Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (MBOCWWB) of the state labour department on May 24, 2017. When Preshyojit Sharma , the then Chairman of the MBOCWWB issued the sanction order for construction of the Shelter Home for construction workers it is stated that the amount be sanctioned to the construction Agency in one installment. And as per source with the Imphal Times Preshyojit Sharma ,chose Education Engineering Wing, Department of Education, Government of Manipur as the Construction Agency.. Co-incidentally his brother-in-law was the Education Minister.
Any sanctions for schemes or welfare project that has to be taken up by the MBOCWWB should get approval from the board members after convening a meeting. After Preshyojit Sharma took charge as the Chairman of the MBOCWWB, two meeting of the Board was convened, with the 11th meeting as the last. That 11th board meeting was held on June 14, 2017. Eight agenda were discussed and passed and among the agenda there was no mention for sanction of huge amount of money for construction of the Shelter Home.
Now the question is where is that Shelter Home constructed at any part of the state and where are the money sanctioned for construction of the Shelter Home gone.
Earlier on July 25, 2020, Imphal Times had reported about the MBOCWWB,Chairman Preshyojit Sharma sanctioning Rs. 13,00,00,000/- (Rs. Thirteen Core ) to and NGO called Rural Social Service Society having its office at Khongman Zone –II , Imphal East, at which Preshyojit Sharma himself is the Chief Functionary and also the Secretary of the NGO for taking up skill development project .
When the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led NDA government is acting tough to wipe out the menace of corruption , it is ironic that the BJP led government in the state of Manipur is silent to the huge misappropriation of fund mean for welfare of working class people by a politically appointed chairperson in the state
