Village Volunteer Force (VVF) Manipur is set to organize an environmental initiative with a tree planting program on May 19 and May 20, 2024 at Heipok Ching.
This program aims to address environmental concerns and promote sustainability within the community. By planting trees, the VVF Manipur seeks to enhance the local ecosystem, contribute to carbon sequestration, and create a greener, healthier environment for future generations.
Takhellambam Ramananda, the president of Village Volunteer Force (VVF), has stated that the location is historically and religiously important.
The event will begin at 11 AM on both days, with volunteers gathering at Heipok Ching to commence the tree planting activities. Participants include residents from 40 villages and they are dedicated to ecological preservation.
This tree planting program reflects VVF Manipur’s ongoing commitment to fostering a sustainable environment and engaging the community in proactive conservation efforts. The volunteers have thanked the Forest department and Horticulture department for the help they have provided by giving them sapling of the trees.
