The RPF salute medical staff for bringing back to normalcy to the first COVID-19 affected 23 year old girl and the party expressed full faith to the medical fraternity in curing the second positive patient. The outfit, however, said that when all the people have been working hard to contain the virus and when the state is in need of medicines and equipments (PPEs), masks and other essential daily needs some individuals who only think of making money are transporting betel leaves by hiring Cargo flight.
The RPF taking the matter with extreme seriousness appealed the traders not to repeat such act in the future. The outfit also appealed to the truck drivers who are transporting non-indigenous people from outside the state to immediately stop bringing them to Manipur. Issuing of ILPS has been suspended and that those non-local whom they smuggled may create a catastrophe in the state as they may turn out to be carrier of the virus.
The state also appreciated the government in its effort to protect the state from the dreaded virus when most developed countries are facing extreme difficulties in controlling the disease.
When a country like Spain, Italy USA have risen the number of the positive case, the state of Manipur have reported only two cases at which one had been cured. The RPF thank the government for taking up such precautionary measures.
