Imphal, April 6

BJP Manipur Pradesh today observed the 40th Foundation Day od the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at its office premises which is under construction at Nityapat Chuthek here in Imphal. Unlike other years only few member of the party attended the ceremony as the nation is restricting any form of mass gathering in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Members of the BJP Manipur Pradesh and its karyakartas had a simple but meaningful flag hoisting ceremony and paid floral tributes to Dr.Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the old party head office, Nityaipak Chuthek. In these unfortunate and testing circumstances, it was unanimously decided by the party to refrain from organising any form of extravagant ceremony/ mass gathering or function for the occasion. Also, each and every karyakarta of BJP Manipur Pradesh hoisted the party flag in their houses.
State Vice President of BJP Manipur Pradesh, M.Asnikumar Singh while speaking on the occasion said that in these 40 years, BJP has had an eventful journey full of highs and lows but always stuck true to its fundamentals of creating a united, prosperous and strong India, enlightened in outlook. Today, we are the largest party in the world in terms of primary membership.
“This itself is a testament to the faith people have in the originality of this great party’s beliefs and ideology”, he said.
