Rally against bandhs and blockade

Imphal, Sept 26: An organisation called Progressive Manipur is organising a rally on October 2 to commemorate the International Non-Violence Day. The day is observed to mark the birthday of Mahatama Gandhi, the father of the Nation. In a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club President of the Progressive Manipur, Lairenjam Niranjan said that the rally is being organised to mark protest against the frequent bandh, curfew , violent agitation etc.,. He said the rally aims to provide awareness to the public about the loss of bandh and blockade. He also said that students should be left apart from undergoing any sort of agitation. He further stated that 75% of the people are against bandh and blockade. This was found out during a survey carried out by the organisation.
