Process for Issuing Application Form for Various Certificates Reviewed

Imphal, June 1: A review exercise was held in consultation with other stakeholders to ensure uniformity, increase efficiency, improve transparency and reduce delays against standardised periods for processing applications of issuing various certificates by the office of the Deputy Commissioner and the Revenue Authorities, Imphal East. Based on this, domicile certificate, permanent residence certificate, caste/tribe/class certificate can be had by submitting a duly filled in application form to the issuing authority supported by necessary documents, stated a notification issued by the ADC, Imphal East District, on 29th May, 2017.
Application form can be had on cash payment from the office of the issuing authority or downloaded freely from the website www.imphaleast.nic.in. Incomplete application form will be rejected without prior notice. Maximum period for processing an application shall be 7 working days from the date of receipt of the application but can be completed within 8 working days if the applicant fails to produce documentary proof in support of any claim in the application form which shall be established through field enquiry. The Deputy Commissioner, Imphal East, reserves the right to issue any of the said certificates.
