Pre-Council Exams introduced to boost Class XII Students’ confidence

The All Manipur Recognized Private School Welfare Association has introduced Pre-Council Examinations for Class XII students starting this year to help them prepare more confidently for the Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur.
Speaking to reporters at the Manipur Press Club, Association President Laishram Joy Khuman said the organisation has been conducting Pre-Board Examinations since 2005 and will continue the practice, which has significantly helped students prepare for their first major public exam.
He announced that “from this year, the Association is also conducting Pre-Council Examinations for Class XII students who will appear for the 2026 Higher Secondary exams.” A total of 50 higher secondary schools have opted to participate, with around 5,000 students expected to sit for the test.
The Association will conduct the Pre-Council Examination following the same procedures adopted by the Council. The exam is scheduled from December 9 to December 22.
Laishram Joy Khuman appealed to civil society organisations, clubs, and local bodies to support the initiative and avoid calling bandhs or blockades that could disrupt the examinations.
