The Delhi Police has issued a notice under Section 35 (3-6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, to Paokhup Guite, a representative of the Kuki Student Organization (KSO) Delhi & NCR, in connection with an ongoing investigation related to Case FIR No. 0017/2025.
The notice, dated March 9, 2025, directs Guite to appear before the investigating officer at the Kartavya Path Police Station at 10:00 AM on March 10, 2025. The case has been registered under Section 223(a) of the BNS, and police authorities have cited reasonable grounds to question him regarding the facts and circumstances of the investigation.
According to the summons, Guite has been instructed to comply with several directives, including not committing any future offenses, refraining from tampering with evidence, and fully cooperating with the investigation. He is also required to disclose all relevant facts, produce necessary documents, and assist in identifying any accomplices.
The notice warns that failure to comply could result in legal action, including arrest under Section 41A(3) and (4) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Section 35(5) and (6) of the BNS.
Authorities have not disclosed further details about the nature of the case. The summons underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation.
