Ongoing crisis is India’s proxy war – CCSK

IT News
Imphal, July 11:

The Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) has called the current Manipur crisis as India’s own proxy war, saying that the current situation is a result of many issues that have come from other countries.
CCSK Publicity Secretary Nongthombam Gobin Meetei on a press statement expressed the view of calling the crisis as a proxy war, stating that the Chin Kuki-Zo’s motives to achieve Zou Reunification and gain Kuki-land/Zelengaam as an insidious ploy to infiltrate India’s borders and create division amongst indigenous people in the name of religion, also increasing illegal immigrants and militarization while taking hiding under the help of the Indian government.
The CCSK also questioned the lack of control in the hills despite the amount of control in the valley due to the implementation of AFSPA in police stations and the exploitation of with the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with the government for their benefit. On this situation, the CCSK urged the political parties of Manipur to stop blaming each other and work together for the removal of Kuki Chin-Zo terrorists from the SoO agreement with the central government so that the road to peace will be visible in Manipur.
