One Day Social Service Camp Held

Thoubal,March.26:  A one day social service camp was conducted  jointly by the volunteers of the District Library Cum Youth Centre,  Athokpam Thoubal and NCC Unit, Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal at the complex of Deputy Commissioner Office, Thoubal and at Athokpam Bazar. About 80 youth leaders and NCC Volunteers were participated in the daylong cleanliness drive. Shri Ak. Lolendro singh, ANO of NCC Chaoyaima Hr. Secondary School Thoubal and Advisor of DLCYC Athokpam, Th. Priyokumar, Lecturer, DM COLLEGE OF Commerce also took part in the social service camp.  
Speaking to the media persons Shri Akoijam Jiten, Secy. DLCYC said that the programme was organised as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission. Each and everyone of us are responsible in making our city neat and clean. We the youths and youth clubs can play a major role for a suitable change in maintaining a better health and sanitation in our own locality. Its not for somebody’s job to clean our strrets but its our responsibility to uphold the dignity of volunteership and a sense of work culture during our tenure as youth. Shri Jiten also thanked the Thoubal Municipal Council for providing all the equipments like dustcart and other weapons which are used in the camp.
