No turning back without fulfilling demand: Robita

Imphal, Aug. 13: Demanding the removal of AFSPA and Implementation of ILPS in Manipur, Arambam ongbi Robita Leima, Founder Secretary of Crime Against Women (CAW) began her fast-unto- death protest in front of CAW office at Canchipur today.
Speaking to media persons, Robita said that she is not competing nor against Irom Chanu Sharmila who recently ended her 16-years long fast. She said she is continuing the movement against AFSPA and for ILPS in the state as the people of the state are not satisfied with the sudden end of the fasting by Sharmila.
She further added that she is doing what Irom Chanu Sharmila did- demanding for repeal of AFSPA so she appealed to Irom Chanu Sharmila to join her organisation- Crime Against Women if she is interested, as the organisation has been solving more cases of women-related crimes than any other department including Police department.
she also clarified rumours about the corruption done by CAW and said that she has solved thousands of cases without taking any money from the victims except for a few thousand rupees for the transportation and nothing else. She added that those who sought the help of CAW in solving their cases are very lucky.   
She further added that no one can stop her protest as her body has been sacrificed for the people of the state. She would die but would not turn back on her resolve without fulfilling the demand.
Meanwhile, a team of police personnel declared restriction on the place and recommend shifting to a crowded area at around 2:30 pm. When contacted on phone by our reporter she said that she is going to Kangla for prayer and would meet Leishemba Sanajaoba and Sharmila after which she would continue her protest at a proper area.
