The Seva Jyoti Yatra 2026 was observed across districts of Manipur today as part of the ongoing month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, with rallies, awareness marches and public service activities organised at district headquarters and other locations.
In Bishnupur, the District Administration organised a bike rally from the INA Auditorium Hall, Moirang, to the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur. The rally was flagged off by MLAs Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, Thongam Shanti Singh and Sanasam Premchandra Singh. More than 1,000 people gathered at Moirang and virtually joined the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from New Delhi before taking the Viksit Bharat Pledge.
In Chandel, a rally involving district officials, departmental staff, local bodies and members of the public was flagged off by MLA S.S. Olish from the Indoor Stadium. It concluded at the Multipurpose Hall, DC Complex, where the Prime Minister’s address and remarks by BJP national president Nitin Nabin were livestreamed.
In Churachandpur, three Seva Jyoti Yatras began from Rengkai, Lamka Public Ground and Molnom and converged at Tuibong before proceeding to the District Panchayat Resource Centre. Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar received the yatras and administered the Viksit Bharat Pledge following the live broadcast of the Prime Minister’s address.
In Noney, the District Administration and District Child Protection Unit organised a Child Protection Foot March from the DC Complex. The march sought to raise awareness about child abuse, child marriage, child labour, exploitation, neglect and violence against children, while highlighting Child Helpline 1098.
In Tengnoupal, the District Administration organised a Seva Setu Abhiyan—Sarkar Aapke Dwar along with the Seva Jyoti Yatra. Around 13 departments set up stalls to facilitate access to government schemes and services. Around 80 old-age pension cards were distributed, while agricultural equipment, school textbooks and horticulture-related assistance were also provided to beneficiaries.
In Pherzawl, the District Administration, Pherzawl today organised a Seva Jyoti Yatra at the Conference Hall of the DC Camp Office as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Deputy Commissioner Pherzawl Anunay Anand, IAS, chaired the district-level programme and administered the Viksit Bharat @ 2047 pledge to the participants.
The district-level programmes aimed to take government services and development initiatives closer to the people and encourage public participation in the broader objective of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
