The North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) held its 31st Annual General Meeting at its registered office in Guwahati on September 29, presenting its annual performance for 2025–26.
NEDFi CMD PVSLN Murty said the corporation sanctioned loans worth Rs 977.42 crore during FY 2025–26, up from Rs 882.98 crore in the previous financial year. Cumulative sanctions reached Rs 10,091.80 crore covering 34,327 projects.
Gross income increased 4.40 per cent to Rs 270.82 crore, while interest income rose 9.73 per cent to Rs 214.94 crore. Profit before tax stood at Rs 127.77 crore and net profit at Rs 92.23 crore. The Board recommended a 7 per cent dividend for FY26.
NEDFi’s gross non-performing assets declined to 1.71 per cent from 1.88 per cent, while outstanding loans increased to Rs 2,269.05 crore.
The North East Venture Fund, established with the Ministry of DoNER and SIDBI, has supported 70 start-ups. The Manipur Start-up Venture Fund and NRL Ideation Angel Fund have committed over Rs 33 crore to ventures in the region.
Under CSR initiatives, 1,291 beneficiaries received support for livelihood, skill development and employment, while 4,525 artisans benefited from marketing initiatives during FY26.
NEDFi said it would focus on expanding credit access to underserved areas and supporting MSMEs, microfinance beneficiaries and first-generation entrepreneurs.
