Imphal Jan 16: Manipur People’s Party (MPP) today launched mass enrollment drive cum donation at its office located in Imphal.
The mass enrollment drive cum donation was formally flagged off by N. Sovakiran, President, Manipur People’s Party and Dr. L. Chandramani, Advisor, MPP.
Speaking to media, president Sovakiran said that MPP was established in 1968. Since the beginning, it has been contesting elections till now. The expenditure of the elections was bore by the members of the political party and by donation. The party does not have sufficient fund. That is why the party needs donation.
An official website of the party known as www.mpporganisation.com was also launched in connection with the mass enrollment drive. The party has also given a bank account number (1067002133) opened at Punjab National Bank for the convenience of those who are willing to donate to MPP.
Criticizing the Congress Government of the state, Sovakiran also added that MPP will take up actions to handover the crimes committed the government such as corruption, extra judicial killings etc. to the people court for judgment by 2017.
