Imphal, Feb 7:

MLA R.K. Imo Singh laid the foundation stone for the construction of a G+1 building for the Department of Language and Implementation and a Multipurpose Hall at Sega Road Takhellambam Leikai. The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, local leaders, and residents.
During the event, MLA R.K. Imo Singh underscored the significance of the multipurpose hall, which will serve various community activities while also accommodating the department’s operational needs. As per the plan, the ground floor will function as a multipurpose hall, while the first floor will be designated for the department.
In his address, the MLA also announced several upcoming developmental projects in the constituency. He emphasized the construction of Ima Keithel at Tera Bazar, which aims to support and uplift local vendors. He also discussed the commencement of rigid pavement construction across almost all parts of the constituency to ensure durable and high-quality roads. Another significant project includes the upgrading of internal roads in various localities with cemented or paver block roads, thereby improving connectivity and infrastructure.
Additionally, he highlighted the implementation of solar streetlamps, which were inaugurated in 2022. The installation of these lamps has significantly enhanced illumination and security across different localities. He noted that the monthly electricity bills previously borne by the local community have been completely waived since the solar lights were installed, thereby reducing financial burdens on residents. Furthermore, he assured that solar panels installed in certain areas but not yet activated will soon be fully operational.
The event concluded with MLA R.K. Imo Singh reaffirming his commitment to holistic and sustainable development, focusing on infrastructure enhancement, community welfare, and long-term improvements in the constituency.
