To celebrate the 10 years celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) which commenced from 22nd January 2025 and as part of the district level activities, District Administration, Churachandpur (Sub-Divisional Officers Churachandpur and Tuibong) in collaboration with the Village Authority of Churachandpur district today jointly organised a public rallyto raise awareness on issues confronting the girl child, shouting slogans to spread the message of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ with displaying of placards in English and local dialects highlighting the importance of the girl child.
Dharun Kumar S, Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur flagged off the rally from “Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka and also led the rally which terminated at Peace Ground, Tuibong alongside Lalthazam, CEO (ADCC) and SDO/BDO Churachandpur as well as Thangboi Gangte, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur.
The village authorities of Churachandpur District numbering approximately 1500 especially Churachandpur and Tuibong Sub-divisions participated wholeheartedly succeeding in spreading awareness about the importance of education for the girl child. Members of District Task Force(BBBP), Churachandpur and concerned SDCs along with DLOs were also in attendance.
