Some unknown miscreants have attempted to burn down the Kakching High School situated at Kakching Wairi under Kakching police station on Thursday midnight.
According to our Thoubal reporter, the miscreants have torched some windows, blackboard and some furniture of the school. They also tried to burn school with petrol. They have poured oils all over the school building in a attempt to burn it down. However, school caretaker (Chowkidar) had timely intercepted and averted the possible catastrophic.
School Headmaster, Nongmaithem Radhamohan Singh said that no one had attempted to destroy the school since its existence in 1972. The headmaster and staffs of the school condemned the incident.
