Supporter of the JCILPS today continue thier protest at various places of Imphal. Soon after the curfew was re-imposed at 10 am today various womenfolk and youths came out at the streets and staged sit-in-protest, rally by burning effigies of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Our reporter show womenfolk staging sit-in-protest at Keshamthong Keithel, Hodam Leirak, Kwakethel, Khagempalli, Singjamei Kshtri Leikai, Singjamei Bazaar, Sinhjamei Leishangthem Leikai, Khongman Zone III , Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai, Khurai Lamlong, Lairikyengbam Leikai, Kongba Keithel, Thangmeiband Polem leikai, Langol etc. At SIngjamei Mayeng leikai women protestor staged a protest rally in support of the ILP demand by defying the curfew imposed by district administration. At Canchipur, students of Manipur University staged a sit-in-protest in front of the Main gate of the Manipur University.
At several places in Imphal East and Imphal West ,violent youths came out at the street and burnt tryes in the middle of the road. The protestors stopped all short of traffic along the route. Such protest were at peak at Canchipur, Kakwa and uripok area. Police fire tear gas shell and mock bomb and rubber bullet to disperse the protestors at Kakwa area. The protestors attack the police using slingshot.
