MHRC Chairperson takes stock of Human Rights conditions in Chandel

The Chairperson of Manipur Human Rights Commission, Retd. Justice U.B. Saha today visited Chandel District. The Chairperson was accompanied by his team from the Manipur Human Rights Commission. During his visit today, The Chairperson interacted with different community Leaders and the District Level officers at the Conference Hall of the DC complex, Chandel. During the interaction, the Chairperson urged the people of the district to speak up for their rights and inform the commission if there is any form of human rights violation in the district. Different Village Heads, Leaders of civil society organizations brought up some issues faced by the public during the interactions with the Chairperson The Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar elucidated the technical and administrative aspects of some of the issues brought up by the public during the interaction. The chairperson also visited some of the villages and interacted with the villagers in person.
Today’s program was attended by ADC Chandel Md. Firoj Khan, SDOs, DLOs, Village heads, and leaders of the civil societies of the district.
