Memorial pillar unveiled at Kumngaipat Sports Complex

A memorial pillar was unveiled today at the Kumngaipat Sports Complex in Thambalkhong in a solemn ceremony attended by local dignitaries and community members. The pillar was inaugurated by Toijam Opendra Singh, who attended the function as Chief Guest, along with Sarangthem Johnson Meetei, President of YWC Thambalkhong.
Addressing the gathering, Sarangthem Johnson Meetei said the club was established through the dedicated efforts of several members who are no longer alive. He stated that the memorial pillar has been installed to honour and preserve the memory of those individuals for their invaluable contributions.
The club also expressed appreciation to Toijam Opendra Singh, MCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, for his financial support, which helped ensure the successful completion and inauguration of the memorial pillar in honour of his late father, Toijam Ibopishak, as well as the club’s founders and other dedicated members who have passed away.
