Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today said that the two persons arrested by Imphal East Commando identified as Ingoudam Ibungo Singh @ Inao (33) yrs S/o (L) I. Mago Singh of Seijang Makha Leikai and Ngangom Shanta Singh @ Mamo (37) yrs S/o Ng. Krishna Singh of Loushangkhong Awang Leikai were not related with the Maoist. In a press statement signed by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda, the outfit said that the two persons are imposters who were trying to make easy and quick money in the name of rebel groups. The press statement further said that the Maoist had never taken financial assistance from any individuals, brick field, PHC, passenger buses, tata magic and auto of Lamlai and Khundrakpam area. The Maoist also appealed the people to give befitting reply to anybody who had come to collect money in the name of the party. It also added that the Maoist is investigating about the two person and if they were found to have been involved in extortion case in the name of the outfit, the Maoist will award them capital punishment to not only them but also to everyone who had accompanied them.
