Cadres of the URF, who had laid arms and entered MoU with the government, were verified by the state government at 1st Manipur Rifle ground. According to report, out of the 142 cadres, around 80 cadres turn up for verification. The verification was conducted under the supervision of IGP Intelligence KT Vaiphei. This is the first verification conducted by state government after the Chairman of the rebel group has declared to take up arms defying the SoO pack. Whereabouts of the remaining cadres could not be known as the police are tight lip.Imphal Times had earlier reported that Chairman of the URF Lalheiba @ Khwairakpam Brojen @ Gopendra, son of Kh Sangaijao and Baruni Devi of Keirenphabi Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district, who had left the designated camp and declared to return back to the path where he had chosen, had not appeared in the NIA court at Guwahati on October 14 this year. Following the failure to appear at the NIA court, directives has been forwarded to the state home department for submission of the details of his whereabouts.The Imphal Times had also reported that at present there are 18 cadres including 5 female in the designated camp at Loitang Khunou, Spinning Mill. Among these 18 cadres 5 are staying with their family at the camp.
