Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today extended wishes on the 28th Anniversary of Manipur People’s Army (MPA), the armed wing of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF).
A press statement signed by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda, Maoist Communist Party, Manipur said that the party is giving its salute to the martyrs of UNLF and its armed with MPA, who had sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle which has been fighting for more than fifty years. UNLF’s political offensive of more than fifty years and MPA’s military offensive of 28 years are the big contribution to the National Liberation struggle. While encouraging MPA to continue fighting bravely it also expressed its desire for a united struggle against the colonial India.
The statement further said that it is time for the Revolutionaries to consider the people’s view towards them and to evaluate whether the freedom struggle is rising, falling or constant. The pace of freedom struggle in Manipur is the outcome of the concept that ‘it is not an easy to achieve the goal of freedom struggle only with the love of motherland’. Therefore it is necessary to club revolutionary forces, patriotic forces and progressive forces together.
