Maoist condole demise of Heisnam Kanhailal

Imphal, Oct 7: Maoist Communist Party, Manipur (MCPM) today condole the demise of noted theatre personality Heisnam Kanhailal. In a condolence message, the outfit shares the pain and sorrow of the family members of the noted theatre personality saying that his courage and hard work to show the world the talents of Manipur theatre is appreciable. The outfit however said that had Manipur been a sovereign country his talent could have been known even more than he is at present.
The MCPM in its condolence message recalled the masterpiece production of renowned theatre director Heisnam Kanhailal saying that his play Tamnalai, Khomdon Meiroubi, Pebet etc. depict the reality of today’s Manipur.
The outfit also stated Mary Kom’s recent letter to her sons saying that the content of that letter is the wakeup call for all the people of the state from deep slumber. It said the people of the region have been often suppressed by the Mainland people.
