ABVP demands to revoke total shut of MU

Imphal, Oct. 7: Akhil Bharatiya Vidarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur has demanded to revoke total shut down of Manipur University and immediate intervention of Union HRD Minister.
“The decision of total shut down of the University, should be revoked and normal classes and other activities should resume with immediate effect, as shutting down of the varsity is not a solution to the issue,” demanded Narendra Sapam, State Secretary of ABVP.
He also demanded that the Manipur University authority should come to a conclusion and start the admission process without any delay.
ABVP has apprise the issue to the Governor of Manipur, Nazma Hepatulla and will keep perusing the Union Minister of HRD till some concrete actions are taken and issue is solved
The General Secretary also condemned the ‘burning’ of few structures of Manipur University on October 3, 2016 and observed that the Central University has been under serious turmoil due to the ongoing protest by various students’ body over reservation in admission.
