Maoist boycotts Independence Day

Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today calls the people of the state not to take part the Indian Independence Day and appealed to the people of the state to ask themselves as to why the oppressed people of the state should take part in it.A press statement released today by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of Maoist Communist Party, Manipur alleged that the government of Manipur asked the students of the state to take part in Indian Independence Day without their consent since a few years back. For this Education S and Education U arranged uniforms for the students who are going to take part in the March Pass. Officials of Education S and Education U again swindled their share from it.  Independence Day itself became an opportunity to swindle money in a country govern by thieves. The statement continued that Maoist Communist Party will ban observation of Independence Day in Manipur. It further said that the if the Education S and Education U try to mislead the students of the state just to get some money, the outfit will not remain silent. The party statement also added that the outfit will consider those schools and organizations as enemy of the outfit if they take part in Independence Day observation. The people of the state are living under the boot of security forces. People are not allowed to achieve their demands through agitations and tear gas, rubber bullet and baton charging are the only means to suppress the agitation of the people. In such a situation it is very much needed to ask ourselves that why should we take part in the observation of 15 August.
