Maoist Communist Party, Manipur today alleged that the recent bomb blast at Khwairamband Temporary Market was carried out by the Government in order to justify the imposition of Armed Forces’ Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the state.
The press statement signed by Comrade Nonglen Meitei, Secretary Publicity and Propaganda of Maoist Communist Party, Manipur said that it is a matter to discuss thoroughly by the public that who can carry out such a blast at a site which is carefully watched by the security personnel. It also appealed to the people to ascertain the possible reason behind the blast. It is time to find out that the blast was carried out by UG outfits in connection with monetary demand or by the Government to find a good reason to re-impose AFSPA. It added that even though the blast was carried out in connection with monetary demand the perpetrators must be those traitors who are taking shelter at the camps of Indian Army.
It also mentioned that it is time for the people of the state to consider that no revolutionary outfit is involved in such a blast. The outfit also said that the bomb blast was a plan to re impose AFSPA in Imphal area which was repealed from Greater Imphal Area.
