Following an order of the state government, a team led by M Narendra Singh, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), M Iboyaima Singh, Manipur Tea Estate Field Officer and A Joykumar Singh, Field Assistant today inspected the present situation of Manipur Tea Estate at Monbung of Jiribam sub division under Imphal East district. M Narendra expressed that the tea estate could become a great income generator if the state government could focus more on the estate. He further expressed that the government should focus more on the land encroachment of the tea estate by others. After this visit, Narendra further said that a clear report of the estate will be submitted to the concerned authority and appeal take up appropriate action to revive the estate.
