Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress has no relation with MPTCC

Imphal Sept 26: Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress today said that the party has no connection with MPTCC which is led by alleged drug smugglers.

In a press meet held today at Manipur Press Club, Kh. Jiken, General Secretary of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress said that under the leadership of Kim Gangte, MPTC which was formed in April, 2010 by the chairperson of AITC, able to produce 7 MLAs in the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election.  He further said that all the MLAs and candidates who fought election from the party ticket enrolled their names in the party before contesting the election. No one who does not enroll their names can be given the party ticket.

He further alleges the leaders of MPTCC of their involvement in smuggling drugs and other cases and appealed to the voters of the Hiyanglam A/C not to support the candidate of MPTCC in order to save the people from intoxication.

Kh. Jiken also said that four MLAs did not apologize to the president of MPTCC. Four MLAs already said that they will support the MPTCC if the high recognized it.
