Imphal, September 26: Four candidates today filed nomination for the upcoming by-election scheduled to be held at Hiyanglam Assembly Constituency on October 15.
The first candidate who filed nomination was Yumnam Radheshyam of the All India Trinamool Congress. Later, congress candidate E Dwijamani, MPP candidate Amuthoi and BJP candidate Dhanabir filed nomination at the office of the Thoubal District Election Officer.
By-election in the Hiyanglam Assembly constituency is being held after the demise of the sitting MLA Maibam Kunjo.
Last date of filling nomination paper is September 27 and scrutiny of the nomination will be done on September 29.
