Manipur Maoist calls on NE rebels to collectively fight for protection of Indigenous people and land

Imphal, Sept. 18: Armed rebel group Maoist Communist Party of Manipur (MCPM) today calls on major rebel groups operating in the region to collectively fight for protection of the Indigenous people and land of the state.
In a statement one Kyonghan Mangang, Coordinator of the outfit, said that the struggle for protection of the indigenous people and its lad is not only for one community but for communities inhabiting in the state. It said various rebels group United National Liberation Front (UNLF), Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF), Peoples’ Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), Peoples’ Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak- Progressive (PREPAK-Pro), Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon) Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and Manipur Naga Peoples’ Front (MNPF) have been struggling with sacrifices to make the revolutionary movement marching ahead.
The Maoist said while it pays revolutionary salute for the sacrifices of these rebel groups, calls on the need for unification on the issue of protecting the indigenous people and its land of the state even though there are differences in the ideology or strategy in the long run of the revolutionary movement.
The Manipur Maoist further said that the outfit felt that all the revolutionary organization need to fight together for protection of the indigenous people and its land.  It said that right at the moment the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), Revolutionary Peoples’ Front (RPF), Peoples’ Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) and Peoples’ Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak- Progressive (PREPAK-Pro) are working together as Coordinating Committee (CoreCom) while KYKL and KCP (N) has been working together as Alliance of Socialist Unity (ASUK). The Maoist Manipur said that even though the groups works from different platform due to ideological differences , the differences need to be sorted out when it comes for the protection of the indigenous people of the state.
The Manipur Maost believes in the ideology of the Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and believes that there is no larger political issue which is more than the peoples’ admiration.
“To link oneself with the masses, one much act in accordance with needs and wishes of the masses. If we advance when the masses demand advance, that would be right opportunism”, the statement said quoting Mao statement.
The Maoist further said that it request all the rebel groups to stand together in the issue for protection of the indigenous people and its land of the state.
