On the auspicious occasion of Emoinu Pujah 2025, leaders across Manipur have extended warm greetings to the people, celebrating the festival that honors Imoinu Ahongbi, the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity.
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla conveyed heartfelt wishes to the people of Manipur, acknowledging the cultural significance of Emoinu Pujah. He remarked on the unique traditions observed by the Manipuri community, particularly the Meitei brethren, to commemorate the return of the indigenous deity to the residence of her daughter-in-law, Piyainu. He expressed hope that the festival would bring peace and prosperity to the state.
Khemchand Singh, Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and MAHUD, highlighted the arrival of “Ima Imoinu Erat Numit” on January 11, 2025. He emphasized the importance of praying for enduring love and peace in society. Singh wished for the blessings of Ima Imoinu to bring abundant wealth and happiness to families across the state, transcending caste, creed, and religion.
Education and Law Minister Th. Basantakumar Singh described Imoinu Ahongbi as a symbol of harmony, abundance, and well-being. He underlined her role in promoting family unity and domestic tranquility, which resonates deeply with the cultural heritage of Manipur. The minister called for collective efforts towards unity, progress, and development in the state, extending his warmest greetings for a prosperous Imoinu Iratpa 2025.
