Kuki organisations stage rally protesting ethnic killings of 1990

Imphal, July 04: Kuki Inpi Manipur and Kuki Student Organisation staged a mass rally today expressing their resentment over the alleged callouts attitude of New Delhi towards the affected Kukis of the 1990s ethnic killings in Manipur. Placards which protest an immediate settlement of victimised Indian Kukis before an agreement is arrived with NSCN (IM) were used during the rally. The rally started from Imphal Thau ground which snakes through the streets of Khoyathong, North AOC, Chingmeirong, Lilasing Khongnangkhong and ended at Thau ground. The rally was also held in hilly districts including Moreh, Tengnoupal, Saikul, Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts.

General Secretary, Kuki Inpi, Khaimong Chongloi said to the media that a memorandum was also submitted to the Governor of Manipur which demands an immediate settlement of the plight of the Kuki people before any possible agreement is reached out with the NSCN (IM).
