The United National Liberation Front (UNLF) of Manipur, led by Chairman N.C. Koireng, reportedly observed its 60th foundation day across multiple locations, including the Party’s Central Headquarters (CHQ), the Manipur People’s Army (MPA) General Headquarters (GHQ), and MPA battalions inside and outside Manipur, along with the public.
According to a statement issued by M. Shak-Hen, Secretary of Publicity for the Central Committee, the main ceremony took place at the Party’s CHQ. The event was presided over by Chairman Koireng, with key leaders such as Officiating General Secretary M. Iboyaima, Secretary of Agriculture & Environment Y. Abo, and Secretary of Health & Family Welfare O. Chingkheinganbi participating as members of the presidium.
The gathering was attended by a range of Party officials, including Secretary of Organization Ksh. Yoiheiba, Secretary of Finance M. Munan, and Military Affairs Committee member K. Puyaning, along with senior officers, staff officers from various departments, MPA’s VCS, Party cadres, officers, and NCOs.
The ceremony included a two-minute silence to honor the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the nation. Party cadres and MPA personnel paid tribute to the Party flag in a show of respect and solidarity. The Central Committee also presented its annual report, highlighting the Party’s activities and progress.
The statement emphasized the significance of the 60th foundation day as a reaffirmation of their commitment to the ongoing struggle against what they described as India’s colonial rule. The event also served as a platform for expressing gratitude to various contributors to the movement, with UNLF leaders acknowledging the public’s support in advancing their cause.
The UNLF reiterated its belief that continued public participation would strengthen their efforts and expressed determination to carry forward their revolutionary goals with renewed vigor.
