The Koireng-led United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has condoled the demise of Capt. N. Pandamba alias Inaocha, a senior cadre and officer of its armed wing, the Manipur People’s Army (MPA), who passed away on August 1 at Heirok Part II Chingol.
In a statement issued by its Secretary of Publicity, M. Shak-Hen, the outfit said Pandamba, born on July 19, 1986, joined the MPA in 2002 at the age of 15 after undergoing Basic Military Training. During his more than two decades with the organisation, he served in various operational units, including the MPA’s 241 and 291 Battalions, the Tactical Unit, and the Joint Fighting Force (JFF) under the Coordination Committee (CORCOM).
The statement said Pandamba took part in several military operations, including the 2007 Khengjoi operation, and was known for undertaking advance patrol duties. In recognition of his discipline and ideological commitment, he was inducted as a Probationary Party Cadre in 2021 and was elevated to a full Party Cadre by the UNLF Central Committee on November 24, 2024.
Describing him as a loyal and committed member who remained steadfast during challenging phases of the organisation, the UNLF said he continued to serve both as an MPA officer and Party Cadre until his death. The outfit conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends and comrades while paying revolutionary tribute to the deceased.
