Armed group Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), Poirei group has warned one Finance Officer of Manipur University (MU) identified as Jibankumar and his gang Rame to surrender to the party within five days starting from yesterday.
In a press statement signed by Publicity Secretary, Malemnganba Meitei, the outfit said that the authority of Manipur University has obstructed entry to the main gate of the Manipur University as well as at the entry of Administrative Block instead of following the advice given by the party to stop taking percentage from the contractors undertaking construction works for the University and correct the wrongs of the University authority. The outfit said that the measures are being taken up under Operation Mangal of Kangleipak Task Force to improve education system and to produce qualified students at the university. The outfit said that during an investigation it has been found out that Finance Officer of Mu Jibankumar and his gang Rame (supplier) were the reason for the failure of the Manipur University in producing qualified students. It said these two persons are deducting 10% from every contractor who has been allotted work order by the Engineering cell. The outfit also alleged the FO of appointing his men on contract basis instead of utilising the staffs of the University and added that the FO along with his gang has spoiled the modesty of various women inside the university complex. On the other hand the KCP Poirei group also said that this FO and his gang is trying to mislead the image of the Registrar of the university by making false allegation.
