The Singjamei 360 social media platform today launched Digital Yellow Page App, available on Android and iOS platforms, at Hotel Imolesh Banquet Hall today.
Thanga AC MLA Tongbram Robindro attended as the chief guest, while Dr Thangjam Dhabali, Chairman of the Babina Group, attended as guest of honour. Dr Wahengbam Indibar, Managing Director and Consultant of Suba Hospital, and Dr Dhanabir Laishram, Advisor of Singjamei 360, also attended the programme. Dr Laishram presided over the function.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Tongbram Robindro said the Singjamei 360 platform could play an important role in highlighting social issues and connecting people with information through digital technology.
He stressed the need to make effective use of digital platforms to disseminate information and draw attention to issues affecting society.
Robindro also expressed concern over the challenges facing different communities and the growing trust deficit among people. He said peace and normalcy were essential for the state’s social and economic development.
Referring to the continuing disruptions caused by bandhs and blockades in Manipur, he said such incidents had adversely affected economic activities and the livelihoods of ordinary people. He noted that such disruptions were comparatively less frequent in neighbouring states.
The MLA called for collective efforts to rebuild trust among communities and create a peaceful environment conducive to economic activity and development.
