JCILPS Students’ Wing opines to open memorials of Sapam Robinhood at Wakha

The Fast-unto-death protest of the JCILPS has been concluded yesterday after the passing of the three Bills related to the protection of the indigenous people of the state. The Committee however, said that they will continue other democratic form of protest until the Bills passed by the state Assembly has been converted into acts.
Convener of JCILPS Student Wing  Nandababu said the JCILPS along with JAC of Sapam Robimdhood will meet state government to discuss about performing the last rite of Sapam Robinhood. If the government has agreed the condition given the JCILPS than the dead body will be cremated, Nandababu said. 
The JCILPS had suggested to arrange a crematorium and a memorial site at “Wakha” at Buruni Range. If the proposal is accepted by the government the JCILPS and the JAC along with the people of the state will hold a rally as a mark of honour to Sapam Robinhood.
He further added that during the meeting with the Chief Minister the JCILPS will also discuss about reopening of the school and providing humanitarian aids to the injured person during the series of protest demanding ILPS.
Meanwhile a team of JCILPS and the JAC formed against the death of Sapam Robinhood today meet the Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh at around 2 pm today.
