One Ch Monoranjan Khuman, identified himself as the Advisor, Internal Security North East (Division), Ministry of Home Affairs Govt. of India today said that the JCILPS has skipped some of the steps in demanding the implementation of ILP in the state. In a press meet held today at Siroy Conference Hall of Hotel Imphal, Monoranjan said that he supports the demands for the implementation of ILPS, but he felt that the JCILPS has skipped certain steps in the course of agitation. He said before the ILP system is demanded the JCILPS need to demand for conversion of all the districts of Manipur into Hill district. He said that the government needs to declare whole of the state as a hill state and need to convert all the seven clan of Meitei to Tribal status. It is only after these provisions are fulfilled that the ILP system will automatically into force in the state. He further added that he was speaking as a representative of state and central government and also said that he is not mocking the agitation of the JCILPS but only suggesting the right path to reach the goal.
