The three member team of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs today met the governor, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of the state. Shambhu, Joint Secretary, Home, Prakash Mishra, Special Secretary MHA and Rajiv Gawda, Additional Secretary MHA soon after their arrival at Imphal met the governor VK Duggal at 11.30 am. Later, the three member teamlater meet the chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and after that a security review meeting was held at Old Secretariat conference Hall with the Chief Secretary, DGP, IGAR (S), CRPF, PWD authority in the wake of the UNC’s infinite blockade aling the two National High Ways. Even though the details of the meeting could not be known it is believed that the MHA might direct the state govt. to take up some effective measures to essure safety of all the transporters in the National High Ways.
