Manipuri youth attempting world record in Micro Painting

36 years old Elangbam Tulu Meitei is all said to try for the Guinness book of World record by painting the smallest portrait. Elangbam Tulu Meitei Son of E. Ibohabi of Uripok Khoisnam is known for his talent in painting on wheat, rice and dal. He had already painted the famous Taj Mahal on the surface of a single dal. Other painting that he had painted on rice or wheat includes those of Rabindranath Tagore, Mother Teresa or Indira Gandhi. Interestingly the surface he painted measures around 0.6mm. Recently Tulu Meitei also painted the portrait of Mahatama Gandhi, Manipur Chief Minister O. Ibobi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Monalisa on 0.8mm surface of wheat and rice. One painting that mesmerize the reporters present in today occasion is the artistic work at his a painter painted fisher women catching fish using fishnet from a traditional boat on the surface of a rice. The paintings are done using oil colour. Speaking to the reporters Tulu said he can now finished a micro painting of a portrait in less than an hours.
