Health Minister launches Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) Scheme for PHC Wangoi

Health & family Welfare and IPR minister Shri Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh has launched Surakshit Matritva Aswasan (SUMAN) Scheme at CHC Wangoi, today. Minister also launched Operationalization of operation theatre.
It may be mentioned that the scheme is a centrally launched aiming to provide quality health care at no cost to every woman and newborn visiting a public health facility.
Speaking as Chief Guest on the launching occasion, Minister Ranjan said that it is a landmark achievement of the department to make the operation theatreoperational and launching of the SUMAN scheme. The new activity will now benefit the people residing in and around Wangoi.
Ranjan maintained that primary health care system needs to be focused since it is the foundation of tertiary health care system. For a better health care delivery system, a better grassroot health care service is necessary. In this regard commitment of the health care professionals is very much required.It is through the sincere and dedicated service of the health staffs that the goal of a global health can be achieved, he added.
Minister Ranjan said that Preventive measures may be acknowledged. Periodical tests and regular health check-up are necessary for keeping a better health. Appropriate policies to achieve the best health care service in the state will be chalked out in consultation with the Chief Minister and other stake holders. Required staffs, machineries and infrastructures of CHC, Wangoi will be provided on priority basis, he informed.
Minister also visited different departments and inspected the infrastructure and facilities of the of the Health Centre. He also interacted with the doctors and staffs of the centre.
Speaking at the occasion as president MLA, Wangoi A/C Khuraijam Loken said that the dedicated and sincere service of the health staffs of CHC, Wangoi, can set an example of the future. Competition during service period is required to show one’s ability in their service.
O. Lukhoi Singh, Ex-Minister, V. Vumlunmang, IAS, ACS, Govt. of Manipur, Yumnam Nilamani, Vice Chairman, Khadi &Village Industries Board, Dr. K. Rajo Singh, Director Health Services, Manipur and Dr. Somorjit Ningombam, Mission Director, State Health Society, Manipur also shared the dais as special guest of honor and guests of honor respectively. Doctors, Nurses and staffs of CHC, Wangoi and others also attended the launching occasion.
