A lady passenger was killed today in a road mishap near Nungdalan along the Imphal Jiri road at around 10.30 am. Report said that the passenger vehicle bearing registration No. AS 11 DC 5396 was coming towards Imphal from Jiribam early today morning. The vehicle accidentally falls into a gorge. There were 10 passengers along with the driver when the unfortunate accident took place. Most of the passengers sustained serious injury among them a lady passenger died on the spot.On the other hand a labourer sustained serious injury after he was hit by a Maruti Swipt car bearing registration number MN 062 6657in front of St. Peter High School at around 12 noon today. The injured labourer has been identified as MD Nawaz Khan (35) of Mayang Imphal. He has been immediately evacuated at RIMS hospital.
