Imphal,Nov12: Troops of 11 Para and 44 AR apprehended five UNLF and one PLA cadres from Aishi, Molvailup & Tuiphei area during a search operation. The apprehendees were identified Irengbam Tomba Singh alias Maigeitakpa, Keisham Herojit Meitei alias Loktak, Laishram Naocha Singh Amuthoi, Heishnom Thoi Meitei alias Chingkhatpa, Haobam Malamnganba Meitei Chingkhei and Vicky Thangjam Sanjit Meitei alias Vicky,(Gp-PLA). Two AK- 56 Rifles and 149 live rounds of 7.62mm were recovered from their possession. The apprehendees alongwith the recovered items have been handed over to the Singjamei Police Station.
In another operation, troopas of the 22 Assam Rifles apprehended one KCP (MC) cadre on November 10 from Sora check post. The apprehendee was identified as Sirathan Awungbi alias Hitler alias Raiban alias John, aged 23 yrs, S/o Reichenmei Awungbi, resident of village – Shokbao, Dist – Ukhrul. The apprehendee has been handed over to the Kakching Police Station.
In yet another operation, troops of the 20 Assam Rifles and 6 DOGRA apprehended an over ground worker of UKLF on Novemebr 10 from Sora Village. The apprehendee was identified as Paolen Kipgen alias Lelen alias Chingin Khomba, aged 20 yrs, S/o Chongkham Jaram Singh, resident of village – Kangpokpi, PS & PO – Kangpokpi, Dist – Senapati. One mobile handset and a timber association receipt were recovered from his possession. The apprehendee alongwith the recovered items has been handed over to the Kakching Police Station.
