Imphal, Nov 12: Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Right (MCPCR) today observed its second foundation day at the conference hall, old high court complex, North AOC.

Attending the function as President, Dr. Ch. Narendra, Consultant, MCPCR, said there are various kind of child right acts such as child labour act, juvenile justice care and protection act, right to education act, etc. It is important to know if the commission is doing its job in making these rights accessible to all. There is rise in crime against children in the state and their parents must know why such things happened, said Narendra. He further added that these crimes not only happen in girls but also to boys. Such crimes against children were not reported in early period of time because the parents fear of reputation. But in recent time, parents have started reporting about the incidents with clear evidences which made easier for the police to track down the suspects. Thus, parents must coordinate and report immediately to the police so that such incidents never repeat again, added Narendra.
