Govt. orders to put halt all recruitment process of employees

The state government of Manipur has ordered to put halt all recruitment processes of government employees with immediate effect in view of the precarious financial position of the state.
Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Division) of the government of Manipur has issued an office memorandum in the connection.
The office memorandum signed by the Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar stated that all the ongoing recruitment processes (including daily wages, contract employment, muster roll, direct recruitment) being undertaken by the department (including all agencies, societies, undertaking boards, corporation, etc. under them) shall be put on halt with immediate effect (Feb. 12, 2021) until further orders in view of the state’s economy and the precarious financial position of the state.
Written test examination and viva voce are also ordered to put on halt.
The Chief Secretary also order that the entire proposal for any recruitment process or need to be initiated has to place before the committee headed by the Chief Secretary, Government of Manipur to examine issues relating to rationalization of posts in all Government Departments and Autonomous Bodies first which will be followed with specific permission from the department of Personnel.
