State government is likely to give a chance to the students who were not allowed to appear in the last CBSE examination due to negligence of some of the school authorities here in Imphal. According to a source the state cabinet might take a decision to allow these students appear in the class XII examination by June or July this year. But the exam will be conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur. Source further said that the Director of Education (S), Govt. of Manipur who has been conducting an investigation into the matter which had drew various criticisms from students’ bodies and other organisation, had recommended the government to give a chance to these students. Mention May be made that around 2000 students who had filled up forms for appearing the class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE through five private schools were not allowed to appear the exam as their forms were not submitted on time to the CBSE by the school authorities. There were hue and cry from the students and their guardians and the matter has been looked after by the state government after constituting a commission of enquiry.
