Imphal, July 18: The Hon’ble Governor of Manipur Shri V. Shanmuganathan met members of the Manipur State Pensioners’ Union today at Raj Bhavan, Imphal. The Manipur State Pensioners’ Union comprising of sixteen members were led by its President Shri H. Yaima Singh.
In course of the interaction, some members of the Pensioners’ Union raised issues pertaining to grievances and problems faced by the pensioners’. The sixteen members of the Manipur State Pensioners’ Union are from Imphal West, Imphal East, Churachandpur, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Ukhrul and Senapati district.
Later, the Hon’ble Governor handed over Rs 1 lakh from his Discretionary Grant Fund as financial assistance to the Pensioners’ Union.
