Bandh affects normalcy in Thoubal

Thoubal, July 18: The 48-hours Thoubal district bandh called by JAC formed against the death of Md Adbul Rahaman of Thoubal Moijing Wangmataba Khunou has affected the normalcy in the district today.
The bandh was imposed from today morning 5 demanding to produce the culprits who are involved in the killing of Abdul Rahaman, who succumbed to injury from physical attack on June 30.
Bandh supporters blocked main roads by burning tyres and pilling stones. They also prevented plying of private vehicles at different locations of Thoubal district. Except for religious, emergency and medical services were exempted from the purview of the bandh.
According to Media Co-ordinator of the JAC, Abas Mustan, Manipur police has failed to arrest the culprits of the incident even if their names were given.
